Which geographic regions do you serve?
Katie Metheny provides in-home care for people with ALS in the D-FW area.
Do you provide in-home ALS therapy?
Yes. All therapy takes place in the client’s home.
Do I need to come to a medical facility for treatment?
No, all services are provided within the client’s home or other locations specified by the client (for example, a relative’s home).
How much does a session cost?
Initial, 90-minute sessions cost a flat rate of $400. Follow-up sessions are billed at $200 per hour.
Resourcing events and follow-up consultations via phone, text or email are billed at $100 per half hour.
What is a resourcing event?
Resourcing events are any conversations about care that happen after the in-home session. If you have questions, need resources or would like to discuss additional care options, you can reach out via phone, text or email. Resourcing events are billed at $100 per half hour.
Do you work with insurance?
No, Katie Metheny does not work with insurance. All care is billed directly to clients who are then able to submit provided billing information to their specific insurance carrier for reimbursement.
No amount of reimbursement is guaranteed due to varying insurance carriers and individual benefits.
Which payment types do you accept?
You may pay by cash, check or through Zelle.
When is my payment due?
Payment is due at the time of services.
Will I get a receipt?
Receipts will be sent via email. Any insurance-related billing information will be included in your receipt should you want to submit the invoice to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
What if I can’t afford a session?
Please reach out to discuss your situation. Katie is willing to collaborate on pricing to find a rate that fits within your budget.
What if I am outside of D-FW?
Clients outside of the standard commute timeframe will be charged a travel fee.
